Built between 1625 and 1634, Cheverny castle is an elegant palace with a classical façade and a symmetrical balanced shape. The beauty of this castle lies in its splendid and sumptuous furnishings, magnificently preserved, such as tapestries, chests of drawers, arm-chairs, paintings, weapons and armours collections.
An original performance takes place inside the kennel every day at 17 pm, from March to September, with 100 setters being fed by the viscount of Sigalas, the current owner of the castle.
90 kg of food are placed in front of the hungry dogs, who patiently wait for the howl of the rope by the viscount, after which they can finally eat. www.chateau-cheverny.com
